Who are you and what do you do? With whom are you collaborating (Partner)?
I am Lisi Qarkaxhija from Kosovo. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Data Science, both from the University of Primorska in Slovenia. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD at the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg, specializing in Machine Learning for Complex Networks. My research is conducted in collaboration with DATEV.
Since when are You a participant at Software Campus what do you expect from Software Campus?
Since April 2024, I have been participating in the Software Campus program. Since 2023, I’m part of the Software Campus, in April 2024 my project did start. I am excited about the numerous networking opportunities it offers, as well as the chance to gain insights into team management, decision-making, and the intricacies of starting and running a business.
What is your IT-Project about – core topic – and how could it be used in the long run?
My project aims to develop a platform that leverages data-driven and AI-based solutions to monitor the socio-technical aspects of complex collaborative software development projects. By analyzing data from software repositories, our platform will provide powerful analytical capabilities to help software development teams work more efficiently and effectively as their projects grow in complexity. Ultimately, this will contribute to improved software quality.
Did a specific (public) figure of computer science or management impress you in a certain matter?
Alan Turing’s development of the universal machine impresses me for its sheer ingenuity and its impact on modern computing. His ability to abstract complex ideas into foundational principles is something I find particularly valuable in my own approach to problem-solving.
Next to your job and Software Campus, what makes your heart beat faster?
Exploring new places and experiencing different cultures really excites me. Traveling allows me to see the world from fresh perspectives, which often inspires new ideas in my work.
