Who are you and what do you do? Who are your partners?
I am a doctoral student at the Institute for Information Systems (IWi) at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). In addition to the software campus project SCORE, I am also involved in the projects SWINNG (project in the software cluster) and KOMMIT (Competent with media in the professional qualification process). My partner is the Scheer Group.
When did you join Software Campus?
I joined the program in October 2012.
What do you expect from Software Campus?
During the 24 months I would like to grow both personally and professionally. The Software Campus offers me an optimal eco system in which I can carry out my research project from the idea to its practical application.
In addition, I hope that the Software Campus will enable me to put the skills and experiences I have gained to date into practice and test them within the framework of my dissertation project. These expectations include, but are not limited to
… the expansion of my knowledge in the field of project management as well as through the seminars, which are completed in the context of the executive development
…that I will gain sufficient practical experience during the implementation of the project and to thereby expand my – still predominantly scientific-theoretical – knowledge.
What is the content of your IT project and how could it be applied in the future?
The project deals with the integration of entrepreneurial business processes and individual work processes. The goal is the automated derivation of best practices and reference processes, whereby employees receive recommendations and information on subsequent process steps. For this purpose, within the framework of the project, a prototype platform is to be developed that enables an analysis of user behavior during the processing of tasks.
What did you like most about Software Campus so far?
… the possibility of continuous exchange with my industrial partner as well as the multitude of training courses offered.
