The Software Campus partner network is growing: with the current application phase, Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft is joining the program and accepting program participants for the first time in the upcoming batch. Under the motto “Shaping mobility – for generations to come”, the group is pushing ahead with electric mobility, digital networking and autonomous driving at full speed.

Research topics from smart production to AI
Program participants conduct research as part of the Software Campus together with the Data Lab Munich and the Smart Production Lab in Wolfsburg as part of the Software Innovation Center. In particular, Volkswagen is looking for candidates interested in the following topics:
- Data privacy by design for connected cars
- Deep learning methods for vehicle aerodynamic properties prediction
- Automated Control of Dynamic Production Systems in Industrial Applications

New training: Volkswagen focuses on diversity
Volkswagen is bringing a new perspective to the training offered by the Software Campus and is providing the training “Diversity – successfully leading diverse teams and fostering potential”. The aim is to show participants the potential and challenges of diverse teams in terms of gender, internationality and life phases. In addition, participants learn to reflect on unconscious biases and how Nudge Management can support behavioural changes.
