Software Campus supports Common Grounds Forum

Who will shape the digital policy of tomorrow? Who is asked? And who has a say? The Common Grounds Forum (CGF) supports young people between the ages of 16 and 35 to get involved in the discussion – whether they are activists, researchers or students. The Common Grounds Forum is realised by the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (German Informatics Society) and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). In addition to the Software Campus, the Stifterverband, the Forum Bildung Digitalisierung, the Startup-Verband and Bitkom also support the initiative.

The focus is on networking among the participants, developing their own ideas, positions and demands and discussing them with representatives from politics, science and business.

In concrete terms, the Common Grounds Forum offers:

  • intensive exchange on the topics: “Digitisation and Sustainability” and “Education in the Digital World”.
  • three online workshops each based on their own thematic focus: for networking, discussion, building expertise and developing clear positions.
  • free participation in the subsequent Forum on 14 October 2023 in Berlin with many exciting sessions on digital policy, education and sustainability (incl. travel and accommodation).

Applications are still open until 10 September at common-grounds-forum.org.
