The Alumni Verein e.V. is increasing its activities within the Software Campus. The main goal of the association is to promote science and research and to support the applicants and participants of the Software Campus program with an advisory service. “Above all, we would like to establish interdisciplinary contacts. The departments are very well connected among themselves, but the communication beyond is often missing. We want to change that”, states Jonas Traub, first chairman of the Alumni Association.
To this end, the Alumni Association has been hosting regular Alumni Talks and Stammtische since 2015. The Software Campus network between participants and partners from industry and research is the basis of the Alumni Association’s work.
Now SHS – Stahl-Holding-Saar supports the activities of the association with a donation of 1000 euros per year and the possibility to hold events in the company’s premises.
“With our sponsorship, we would like to contribute to the realization of the goals of the Alumni Association. In addition, it will raise awareness of our company and make it more memorable. We are looking forward towards projects in cooperation”, says Michael Repplinger, coordinator of SHS in the Software Campus.
