Training sessions for participants will start in April

As in every year, with the beginning of spring, our training season starts as well. This year, out of 43 diverse training days, our participants can freely choose their fours preferred trainings from the fields of methods, leadership, and social and self-competence. These trainings are offered in English or German and will take place at our industry partners headquarters. An overview of this year’s trainings list can be found at the end of this news.

New partners, new trainings

We’re especially excited to be able to offer two new trainings. ZEISS is implementing the „ Praxis-oriented software architecture using Domain-Driven Design and Event Storming.“ In this two-day, hands-on workshop, our participants receive a detailed introduction to the methods of domain-driven design (DDD) and Event Storming. Through collaborative modelling tasks, participants develop a comprehensive understanding of complex software systems—from identifying key domain events to describing the architecture using the Arc42 template. Participants will learn how combining these two approaches can quickly lead to a shared, solid understanding of architecture.

Additionally, our newest partner Snowflake is launching its training program “The Leadership Lab Series: Three Pillars of Impact”. In three practical half-day modules, this new leadership series strengthens key leadership skills across key areas such as Lead Yourself, Lead Others, and Lead the Business. Participants will reflect on their personal leadership roles, learn how to build effective teams, and develop their strategic judgment to achieve sustainable success. Through this progressive training offer and the combination of discussion, practical examples, and reflection, an environment is created that fosters targeted professional development and sustainable leadership skills.

New training sessions from 2025 are back on the programme

In addition to these new trainings, our participants can enrol in those launched last year. These are the trainings that were added to the program in 2025: From Solo to Squad – Stepping into Project Leadership” by Huawei and “DATEV: Successful recruitment for research teams: Finding the right people and ensuring projects succeed“.

The “From Solo to Squad” training program helps Software Campus participants master their new roles as emerging leaders in research, industry, and startups. In just 1.5 days, participants will learn how to communicate clearly, delegate tasks effectively, and lead teams efficiently. All this through practical, interactive exercises and methods they can put into practice right away.

The training provided by and at DATEV teaches participants how to strategically and efficiently manage the entire recruiting process, from posting job openings to onboarding. Participants will learn to analyze team structures, create targeted candidate profiles, and manage recruitment processes professionally. In addition to legal frameworks and communication methods, this training also covers the use of AI in recruiting and generational characteristics, to strengthen research projects with the right talents.

This year, Celonis will kick off the training season with “Constructive Conflict – How to Lead a Battle for the Best Ideas Where the Team Always Wins” in April. We wish all our participants and partners a successful start to this year’s training season!
