Software Campus Summit 2017

At the Software Campus Summit 2017 on March 27 in Berlin, about 30 participants and graduates presented their IT research. The IT research projects are each realized with one industry partner and funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with up to 100.000€. Status and results of the projects were presented clearly and vividly with demonstrators and posters and stimulated intensive discussions between participants, the lead partner DLR, research partners, supervisors and mentors. To kick off the event, Dr. Harald Schöning (Software AG) and Prof. Wolfgang Wahlster (DFKI) presented 14 graduates with their graduation certificates and wished them a ceremonial farewell. The industry partners’ HR experts informed in personal conversations about career opportunities after Software Campus.

The research and industry partners, who joined in the course of the planned new edition, used the event to get to know the other partners and participants. In his keynote, Almar Alkassar, CEO of Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity, provided insights into the development of cyber security and of start-ups resulting from research by the example of Sirrix AG, which he founded.
